The Jiankou section is the highest in the Great Wall. The most dangerous place around the suburbs of Beijing is also the most beautiful dragon. The Great Wall is named after its winding W-shape, shaped like a bow.
Jiankou-Mutianyu is becoming the most famous Great Wall hike among tourists. It possesses untouched bricks of the Great Wall and sits perfectly upon the mountains.

This area is stunning and known for its white glow and its steepness, known as 'Arrow Nock' in English as it features an arrow-shaped mountain. It was built in the Ming Dynasty era (1368 - 1644). Today The Great Wall at Jiankou retains its original appearance since its construction in 1368. It is known for its wildness otherwise untouched, unrestored, and has all its history on display for you to see! One of the most notable features is its zigzags for 9.3 miles.

Not many people know about this part of the Great Wall (Mutianyu) as well as the other section and more populous section, Badaling. This is always like a swarm of bees around a beehive, it's a bustling area, and there are just too many people there to truly take in your surroundings and enjoy your visit especially during peak time.
Mutianyu is the perfect alternative if you are looking for more of a peaceful experience. It is closer to Beijing than Badaling is, and maybe this is another reason you would choose this part. Mutianyu is known for its steep landscape and its uniqueness. W we will transfer to Huanghucheng for a night's sleep.
You can hike down to the parking lot, take a cable car, or take a toboggan ride down to meet our driver, who will drive us to our inn for the night. We will then drive to Huanghuacheng to camp on the Great Wall there.

In the morning, you will wake up at 6:30 am to take in an epic sunrise. Chinese breakfast will be delivered to the wall where you are camping. We will then continue our trek, this time from Huanhuacheng to Xishuiyu.
Huanghuacheng sits near a lake and a reservoir. The crescent-shaped reservoir is called Huanghuacheng Reservoir, while the name of the lake is Jintang.
It might not be the highest, longest, or most challenging stretch of wall, but Huanghuacheng's water features create a variety of scenery, unlike any other section. It also hosts a choice of activities. One of the best things about the Huanghuacheng Great Wall, it is mostly quite. Compared to other sections, this is a fantastic area of the Great Wall that is both unique and holds an exciting past. The highlight of today's trip is observing the wall been submerged underwater!

"Absolutely wonderful 3-day hike on the wall!"
" My wife and I recently completed a three day Great Wall walk with your company, which we were very grateful that we were able to change dates and how many people were going at the last minute. You were very professional and accommodating. The walk was Route 3A Gubeiou-Jinshanling-Simatai West (Second Valley)-Jiankou-Mutianyu. This choice gave us a broad range of restored and unrestored as well as being able to camp on the wall, which was a once in a lifetime experience.
The performances of the guide and the driver were first class. Barry, the guide was cheerful and welcoming. Our long drive to the beginning of the walk turned into an enjoyable and interesting trip as we shared personal details of our lives. This gave us an insight into the everyday Chinese life and lives.
As we have no dietary restrictions we gave Barry carte blanche when ordering our meals. He made sure we sampled a wide range of Chinese cuisine throughout the tour.
Waking up at sunrise after camping on the wall was an experience we will never forget. Barry’s extensive knowledge of the wall’s history and his advice of the best places to take photos or have our photo taken by him considerably enhanced the experience.
We whole heartedly thank Barry and Mr Zhou our driver for their care and attention thus making this a most memorable tour. We would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience the culture and customs as well as the Great Wall."
