Gubeikou–Jinshanling is a choice for a longer day combining original masonry and more developed visitor routes. A Jinshanling-focused walk can offer flexible distances and a close look at towers. Mutianyu is worth discussing when facilities and mechanical access matter, though steps remain. Huanghuacheng adds reservoir scenery. Any Jiankou proposal needs a current access assessment rather than an assumption that an old through-hike remains available.
