Great Wall Adventure Club is the only authorized business that is approved by the Great Wall Administration Office to offer camping on the Great Wall to all our customers. We are not like any other Tour guide company. We are unique because 100% of our focus is on the customer. To camp on the Great Wall legally, we pay a fee to the Great Wall Administration Office that allows us access to places no other companies have the authority to do so. Great Wall Adventure Club is not only the perfect guide for your Great Wall hike and camping experience but the ONLY one.
Starting off with the most popular hike from Jinshanling to Simatai, on the first night, you will get to nap in a watchtower on the Great Wall! An incredible experience you won’t forget. We will finish the tour with a hike from Huanghuacheng to Xishuiyu, which holds the Great Wall but underwater!
The views were breathtaking, the meals were plentiful and delicious, and the camping gears were clean and roomy. With a 7 year old, we did not feel this particular excursion was too hard. Our guide was very knowledgable and experienced, so we were not afraid walking through steep parts.

At about 9:30 am, our driver will meet you at the hotel. After 2.5 on the road, we will reach the Jinshanling section of the Great Wall and begin our two-day hike.
Jinshanling's right-wing, where we will hike until we reach Simatai West called Second Valley. As we head west, the wall will start to deteriorate gradually, making the hike progressively more challenging, but also interesting to observe and compare.
The Jinshanling Great Wall possesses an excellent opportunity to take in some fabulous views. Make sure to take your camera. You will not be disappointed! This part of the Great Wall has not been repaired since 1570. It is very remote, but it's what makes it so unique and a great chance to experience the nature and the wild parts of the wall.
The Simatai West section called the Second Valley. It is also unrestored and is ruins. This part of the wall is known as the real Great Wall as it hasn't been touched or refurbished, this brings you back in time to when it was first built! You will also get to see how the wall was designed for practical purposes, such as the defense against enemies and how the Great Wall was supposed to keep them out. There are 'obstacle-walls' built perpendicular to the parapets - a feature unique to the Second Valley part of Jinshanling Great Wall.

An early wakeup call to watch the sunrise over the Great Wall and then onto Huanghuacheng, Great Wall.
The fantastic countryside of Huanghuacheng Great Wall is covered in a yellow mass of wildflowers in the summer season, Additionally known as the 'Yellow Blossom Town' of the Great Wall surface. As this area of the artificial wall surface has no stone actions or a single smooth walkway as well as it gives a challenge for its visitors instead. Another significant feature is the Lake that provides it that added a unique feel to your see when treking this stunning area.
Most of Xishuiyu Great Wall Surface remains in a suitable condition. Some components have weakened with time and look worn. However, it hasn't dropped yet. This area allows you to see the real Great Wall and also what it is like before remediation. It is an item of background very few people reach to explore. We will certainly head west and also at some point see the area where the Great Wall surface meets the water as well as complies with a course under the water.
This hike will finish at about 1 or 2 pm. We will have a wonderful lunch before making our way back to Beijing.
