There are two types you will see, the restored Great Wall (such as at Jinshanling, Mutianyu, and Shanhaiguan) and also explore the unique “wild” wall at Jiankou, Simatai, Gubeikou, and Panlongshan. The four-day hikes we have on offer gives you the option of exploring different sections. These tours also give you the choice of seeing other ancient places and not just the Great Wall. We are starting at Gubeikou, an uncrowded section of the Great Wall that all-natural and unrestored. We will cross over into Jinshanling, which has beautiful scenery. Don’t forget your camera! The next day we continue to Panlongshan, a challenging but yet rewarding hike due to its steepness. From there, we will drive to Jiankou Great Wall, a section you will be in awe with. Mutianyu is next, one of the most popular sections, but still not overcrowded like other parts. Finally, we will hike at Huanghuacheng Great Wall, which has inspiring construction work and photogenic mountainside views where the wall eventually is submerged by water!

This hike is for the healthy physical tourist. There is a lot of walls to cover for this four-day adventure. A walk that once completed, you will feel very proud. It is away from Beijing, starting at the most eastern point, the east china sea. A unique hike that we bring you to explore areas that are away from the tourist spots. This will allow you to learn plenty about the Great Wall and bring you back in time. To conclude this hike, we finish at the Baiyangyu Great Wall. Here it is quite extraordinary as it is made from marble, you will not get this at any other section on the Great Wall.

Starting at Gubeikou that held the battle against the Japanese, it will bring you back in time. Onto Jinshanling, a photographers paradise, where famous watchtowers are clustered across the mountainside. The second day is a hike of Simatai, an unrestored section that is challenging and rewarding. We will then set up camp on the Jinshanling part and camp out for the night in a Great Wall watchtower, a memory you won't forget. On the third day, we will make our way to Jiankou, a beautiful rough portion of the wall that features stunning ruins. The scenery here is out of this world. On the final day, we cross over into Mutianyu, a beautiful quiet section and a fun slide down on a toboggan sleigh!

We are starting at Gubeikou, a portion of the wall used for defending the enemy. We will hike into Jinshanling, a lovely mountainside section with watchtowers across the whole landscape. We will camp for the night in a famous watchtower, once guarded for protection. Onto Wohushan and the Crouching Tiger Mountain, a trek not known to many visitors that will have you astonished. A wonderful time to take in the incredible scenery and take pictures. We finish your Great Wall adventure by hiking the Jiankou-Mutianyu trail, photogenic ruins that have been widely photographed and are best known for its unique character.

Are you a real adventurer looking to explore the path not taken? This hike involves a distance of 80 km! On this hike, you will visit the eastern Great Wall that is over a1000 years old. Usually, these parts of the Wall are only seen on a five day or longer hike. This is a hike that is physically demanding but very rewarding when completed. You will gain a tremendous amount of knowledge of the historic Great Wall. You will also camp for three consecutive nights on the Great Wall that is sure to be exciting and exhilarating.

This tour is designed to offer our Great Wall customers a full-range day by day hiking and one or two nights of camping. We use our most experienced guides of the Great Wall rather than using an English-speaking guide. Our local guides live in the Great Wall villages for generations. Many of them know how to use translation apps to communicate with their guests.
