Great Wall Adventure Club is the only authorized service that is permitted by the Great Wall Administration to use camping on the Great Wall to all our consumers. To camp on the Great Wall surface legally, we pay a charge to the Great Wall Management Office that allows us access to places for camping.
A hike made for families with kids and seniors who want to experience the beauty and nature of the Great Wall. Especially for seniors where this section cuts out the long walks so you can take in the unique lakeside Wall at Huanghuacheng. This walk lasts for 2 hours, after which you can relax and experience the sunset. Camp on the Great wall for one night and wake up to the sunrise. Finish with a relaxing trip to Mutianyu Great Wall.
The views were breathtaking, the meals were plentiful and delicious, and the camping gears were clean and roomy. With a 7 year old, we did not feel this particular excursion was too hard. Our guide was very knowledgable and experienced, so we were not afraid walking through steep parts.

Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel. We will head for Huanghuacheng, where it will take 2 hours to reach.
We will go up at the passageway - "ZhenNuPass" - meaning "Defeat to Invaders," a warning to potential attackers in ancient times. This part is unrestored, but it is not burdensome for kids to walk. From here, we will continue to trek eastward, walking for 2 hours till we reach the restored part where you are welcomed by a large lake. Looking down from the Wall, the lake lays quietly with the mountains surrounded. It is a fantastic place to take stunning pictures.
We will rest at a farm inn called "Times of the Ancient Pass." We will have a gourmet country-style Chinese dinner. Everything produced here is raised locally.
We then return to the Wall to catch a glimpse of the beautiful sunset, then we set up camp in a tower for the night!

An early wakeup call to watch the sunrise over the Great Wall and then onto Huanghuacheng, Great Wall.
Not many people actually know about this part of the Great Wall (Mutianyu) as well as the other section and more populous section, Badaling. Badaling is always like a swarm of bees around a beehive, it's a very busy area and there are just too many people there to truly take in your surroundings and enjoy your visit especially during peak time. Mutianyu is the perfect alternative if you are looking for a more of a peaceful experience. Mutianyu which is closer to Beijing than Badaling maybe is another reason you would choose this part. Mutianyu is known for its steep landscape and for its uniqueness.
Mutianyu as I mentioned before is steep, meaning it is more demanding physically. Many steps are thin and long, you might be climbing with all fours! But don't worry if you’re not up to climb all the steps there are cable cars at the ready so you can enjoy the beautiful views and get to your destination to take in some unforgettable photos. Believe it or not the Former President of America Bill Clinton and British Prime Minister John Major took the Mutianyu Gondola up to the wall.
You will be treated a gourmet lunch locally before returning to Beijing in the afternoon.
Meals: Breakfast & Lunch in the local restaurants
Bottled Water: Unlimited
