Great Wall Adventure Club is the only authorized business that is approved by the Great Wall Administration Office to offer camping on the Great Wall to all our customers. We are not like any other Tour guide company. We are unique because 100% of our focus is on the customer. To camp on the Great Wall legally, we pay a fee to the Great Wall Administration Office that allows us access to places no other companies have the authority to do so. Great Wall Adventure Club is not only the perfect guide for your Great Wall hike and camping experience but the only one.
The best of Beijing starts at the famous forbidden city and a walk-in Tiananmen Square. Then onto the Olympic Green, where China held the 2008 Olympics and will again hold the 2022 winter Olympics. We will head north to explore one of the wonders of the world, the Great Wall at Jinshanling. Famous for its construction and watchtowers. You will then get to experience a night on the Great Wall camping in a watchtower! The next day you'll hike to Gubeikou, an unrestored section of the Great Wall, also known as the 'wild' Great Wall.
This was a truly amazing experience and it was made even better that out tour was very personal and private. Our train arrived a bit late but our guide, Luis, was very patient with us. He also took amazing pictures for us and made sure we were constantly hydrated.
We were driven everywhere, leaving our energy for pure sightseeing which was perfect. Our favorite part was exploring the Great Wall and we were extremely happy we got to actually camp on it. The gear provided was used (of course), but everything was in good shape.
We had an AMAZING time and we honestly are so happy we went with the Great Wall Adventure Club instead of planning every single thing ourselves. It was worth the investment.
Thank you!! I highly recommend this trip if you are on a tight schedule and want to see as many things as possible with a small group of friends.

Our driver will meet you at about 8 am from your hotel to visit one of the greatest attractions in the world, The Forbidden City. Once homed by former emperors, it is the largest surviving palace.
After our Forbidden City tour, we will make our way to the most significant public square in the world, Tiananmen Square is seen as China's political center.
After a bite to eat, we will drive to the Olympic Park. It held the Olympics back in 2008 with the world watching. This area will be used again for the 2022 Winter Olympics.
At around 2 pm, our journey to the Great Wall at Gubeikou will begin and will take a 2 hours drive. Gubeikou is unique in its way as it varies in size and design. It is a long windy wall which is very steep. This view is terrific and you will get to take it all in for about 10km. You will also have the opportunity to watch the sunset fall over the Great Wall, a unique experience you won't want to miss!
Around 6 pm, we will have dinner at a local farmer's house at the base of the Great Wall. This will be a delicious local Chinese cuisine served just for you. We will then climb back on the Great Wall and set up camp for the night in one of the Great Walls towers! All camping equipment will be provided, so all you have to do is have a comfortable sleep!
Meals: Lunch & Dinner in the local restaurants

An early wakeup call to watch the sunrise over the Great Wall and then onto Huanghuacheng, Great Wall.
An early wakeup call at about 5:30 is to take in the wonderful sunrise over the Great Wall.
We will resume our hike on Jinshanling's right-wing, where we will hike until we reach Simatai West called the Second Valley. The Wall gradually deteriorates along this section, making it quite challenging, but this is what makes this hike so unique as you get to experience the untouched Great Wall dating back hundreds of years.
The Jinshanling Great Wall possesses a great opportunity to take in some fabulous views. Make sure to take your camera. You will not be disappointed! This part of the Great Wall has not been repaired since 1570. It is very remote, but it's what makes it so unique and a great chance to experience the nature and the wild parts of the Wall.
It is a great place to explore on foot. According to one hiker, this is what you should expect to find at Jinshanling:
Jinshanling Great Wall hiking towards Simatai was amazing! If you have not been on the Great Wall, do your research first, as many other sections are crammed with tourists, and you don't get to enjoy it. Jinshanling was just out of this world, beautiful, quiet, and beautiful views of your surroundings! I will never forget it!
After completing this hike we will have some lunch and then back to your hotel around 4pm.
Meals: Breakfast & Lunch in the local restaurants
Bottled Water: Unlimited
