In-depth Itinerary
At 6-7 am, your chauffeur will promptly pick you up from your hotel/hostel (with the 2nd Ring circle). If you stay further, you may take a subway to meet us at the Chaoyao Subway Station #A (Line 2 or 6) by 7:20 am.
From the Chaoyang Station, our bus will make the drive of approximately one hour to the Mutianyu Great Wall.
The Mutianyu Great Wall was built by Zhu Yuanzhang's general Xu Da on the site of the Northern Qi Great Wall in 1368 AD. It is the essence of the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty. This section of the Great Wall is connected to the Gubeikou in the east and Juyongguan in the west and has been an imperial military force for Gongwei Gyeonggi since ancient times.
The walking will certainly take around 2.5 to 3 hours.
We'll then have lunch at a local dining establishment and relax after today's walk. You'll go back to Beijing, where you'll be dropped off at the closest train terminal or bus terminal to your hotel. It should be before 6 pm when you get back to your hotel.
