Between 7:30-8:00 am your tour guide will meet you at the hotel. We will then head to Chengde by private van. In Chengde, we will visit the Mountain Resort, a massive garden once used as the summer retreat of the Qing Dynasty, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are many scenic spots in this area, and it will be a challenge to find them all, can you spot the 72 of them.
After a delicious lunch, we head for the Small Potala Palace, which was modeled after the Potala Palace of Tibet. It belongs to the "Eight Outer Temples of Chengde." The architecture here is beautiful.
We will then head back to the hotel to have a well-earned dinner, and then in the evening, you can stroll around the summer retreat at your own pace.

Once our guide has met you at your hotel, we will head for the Xifengkou Natural Resort. This is located in Hebei province. Here you will enjoy a picnic lunch that won't be like an ordinary picnic you ever had. You get the chance to take in the beautiful surroundings of the Great Wall and the lake.
We will start our hike once finished lunch at Xifengkou Great Wall. In this section, you have the rare sight where the Wall is submerged by water. This is truly a fantastic place for views and sight sightseeing with watchtowers in the distance, and the landscape is out of this world.
This night we will be locals! We will spend the night in a local farmer's house. They will prepare you a delicious dinner.

Day 3: Xifengkou to Beijing

The next morning you will wake up to a wonderful breakfast and after we will start our hike at Xifengkou.
This area is unique and never crowded with people who will give you a more personal experience. Because Great Wall Adventure Club has limited access to these spots, you will most likely have this section to yourself!
The rising water has submerged the central part of the wall but you can see the top of the wall. This site doesn't exist at any other section on the wall, which makes it all the more unique. We will take a walk along the Xifengkou Great Wall for over two hours. Then we will return you to your hotel where you will have beautiful memories of a once in a lifetime experience!
