Tianjin Cruise Port to the Great Wall at Mutianyu

Once picked up we will make our way to the Great Wall section of Mutianyu.
Differing from that part of the Great Wall more widely visited, this section is renowned for its unique Barricades. This section of the Great Wall is more defensive minded and is clearly seen in the photos as there is a one thousand meter long wall that is parallel to the main wall to boost the defenses from attackers.
Mutianyu as I mentioned before is steep, meaning it is more demanding physically. Many steps are thin and long, you might be climbing with all fours! But don't worry if you’re not up to climb all the steps there are cable cars at the ready so you can enjoy the beautiful views and get to your destination to take in some unforgettable photos. Believe it or not the Former President of America Bill Clinton and British Prime Minister John Major took the Mutianyu Gondola up to the wall.
Mutianyu is a very fabulous and eye catching part of the wall with its natural landscape. In In autumn especially the maple trees fill the place with beauty. Other times performances are held at the wall to bring you back in time. The wall stretches just 2 kilometers and is the most restored part of the wall which boosts safety concerns.
Take a toboggan ride down it is basically a slide to get down the wall. Following lunch, we will head to Tianjin Home Port Xingang. Tianjin Port Xingang is about 200 km from Beijing and the drive will take between 2-3 hours. We should arrive at Tianjin Home Port at around 4:00pm or at your designated time. Our tour guide will be with you every step of the way and will help you right up until you have entered the cruise ship with your luggage intact.

The Great Wall and Forbidden City in One Day
If you get a full day in Tianjin, you will be able to complete both tours to the Great Wall and Forbidden City in one day. If you want to customize your trip we will be on hand to help.
The pickup time will be around 7 am. We'll transfer you to the bullet train station. You will ride for 29 minutes to Beijing. Take a tour to the Forbidden City (except for Monday when the Palace is closed routinely), then hurry to the Great Wall at Mutianyu.
